The Heart of Our Restaurant

Our Farm is the Heart of our Restaurant

MEET OUR FARMERS

Orchard Kitchen is driven by what is happening on our farm right outside the doors of our kitchen, and in the greenhouse, and in the curing cellar and by what is waiting in our pantry. That is what drives our menu planning by shaping how we think about specific, lovingly grown ingredients and how best to showcase them.  What is fresh from our fields at the beginning of each week is where it starts.  What we have served our guests in the few weeks prior – since so many of them come back week after week -  shapes our thought process as well.

pat moote - farm manager

Pat has been an integral part of the OK Team for years now. He started as a server, moved to Property Manager and in 2025 is changing up his role to help Savannah and Sarah while Savannah is on Maternity leave.  In 2021, Pat attended the Organic Farm School and recently finished an Urban Agriculture Certificate program at Edmonds College. "The only way to know if what you put in your body is healthy is to know where it comes from."

We are so excited for Pat to step into this new role. Not only because he is qualified but because he is always providing comedic relief. If you are within five feet of Pat you are sure to have a good laugh. Farming is a hard and serious endeavor. You need knowledge and grit to do it well. A sense of humor is not required but definitely helps. Pat has all three in spades. Read more about Pat here.

Sarah McArthur - Farmer and Photographer

Many of you have asked who is managing our Instagram page. It's one of our farmers, Sarah McArthur!

Her evocative photos tell an intimate tale of our farm and restaurant. We are so fortunate to have her on our team. She is also using her brawn out in the field everyday, planting and harvesting an amazing bounty. Sarah's smile and laugh are infectious. With her positive attitude and amazing energy, Sarah is a key part of Orchard Farm's team.
